April 3 should have been the 92nd birthday of Dr. Jane Goodall. This year, the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) officially designates this day as Jane Goodall Day, a global gathering of actions and love to pay tribute to this legendary woman who devoted her entire life to protecting nature and all living beings.

Dr. Jane Goodall's life story is the gentlest love letter to nature. In 1960, she traveled to Gombe, Tanzania, approached chimpanzees with patience and respect, and became the first to prove that chimpanzees can also make and use tools—changing the definition of humans and animals. In 1977, she founded the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI), dedicating herself to wildlife conservation and community sustainable development; in 1991, she launched the Roots & Shoots program, empowering young people around the world to take action for the environment, animals, and community, passing kindness and responsibility from generation to generation.

She traversed the wilderness with her feet, conveyed love and hope through her words, and always firmly believed that every individual's action can make a difference. This belief has become the spiritual core of Roots & Shoots across borders, inspiring countless people to protect the Earth.
