They have learned much about project planning and management of volunteers. Additionally, the students got to enrich their social experience. R&S Volunteers in Action

As we continue to expand, we are implementing more and more meaningful programs and activities. Our volunteers are the core of our organization, dedicating their time, skills, and passion to help us build a greener future. In recent years, our volunteer group has kept growing, every year with an average of 240 new volunteers joining us, 220 volunteers participating in our programs and activities, contributing more than 3,500 hours of service in total. These volunteers are actively engaged in activities focusing on "caring for the environment, animals and community". They help to bring green classes to schools, advocate for sustainable lifestyles, and even travel to remote areas to fight desertification!

Inner Mongolia Tree Planting Trip of 2026

From April 10 to 20, 2026, 131 volunteers from 13 companies and 5 schools participated in the tree planting trips organized by Shanghai Roots & Shoots in Tongliao, Inner Mongolia. While Southern China was already bathed in the warmth of spring, Inner Mongolia remained a desolate landscape. So, volunteers planted 1,569 poplar trees by hand, determined to deeply embed the green hope that represents spring here.
