“海洋的痛觉”公益创作大赛
从近几届联合国海洋大会的成果我们可以看出，保护海洋势在必行。2022年的150个成员国达成共识，计划于2030年前保护30%以上本国沿海区域、2040年实现碳中和、推动可再生能源使用，以实现海洋保护；而2025年，各国更是发出了强烈呼声：扩大海洋保护、遏制污染、规范公海管理，并为脆弱的沿海及岛国解锁融资渠道。
我国近年重拳推出多个海洋保护相关的文件，表达了守护蔚蓝的决心。2022年由国家生态环境部等6部门联合发布《“十四五”海洋生态环境保护规划》，大力推动我国入海污染治理、船舶污染防治、海洋垃圾治理、海洋生态保护、海洋经济发展等工作。与之呼应的是2023年末修订、2024年正式生效的《中华人民共和国海洋环境保护法》，对各项污染的整治赋予法律保障，从而实现海洋保护之宏大目标。
上海根与芽积极求索，携手社会各界用行动守护绿水青山和碧海蓝天，呼吁公众聚焦“海洋的痛觉”，通过征集青少年海洋保护公益画作、征集“海洋之声”朗诵作品、组织企业净滩志愿行动、设立海洋保护工作坊、组织根与芽小组制作“海洋的痛觉”雕塑等方式让公众了解海洋、关心海洋、守护海洋。The outcomes of recent UN Ocean Conferences demonstrate the imperative to protect the ocean. In 2022, 150 member states reached a consensus to protect at least 30% of their coastal areas by 2030, achieve carbon neutrality by 2040, and promote the use of renewable energy to achieve ocean conservation. In 2025, these countries called for joint efforts on marine protection, reducing pollution, regulating high seas management, and financial support for vulnerable coastal and island nations.
In recent years, China has launched a number of documents related to marine protection, demonstrating its determination to safeguard the ocean. In 2022, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and six other departments jointly issued the "14th Five-Year Plan for Marine Ecological and Environmental Protection," which vigorously promotes marine pollution control, ship pollution prevention and control, marine garbage management, marine ecological protection, and marine economic development. This is echoed by the "Marine Environmental Protection Law of the People's Republic of China," which was revised at the end of 2023 and officially took effect in 2024. This law provides legal safeguards for pollution control, thereby achieving the ambitious goal of marine protection.
Shanghai Roots & Shoots is actively exploring and working with all sectors of society to protect the environment through action. They are calling on the public to focus on the "Crying Ocean." Through soliciting paintings from young people about ocean, soliciting "Voice of the Ocean" recitations, organizing corporate beach cleanup volunteer activities, setting up ocean protection workshops, and organizing Roots & Shoots groups to create a "Crying Ocean" sculpture, they are raising public awareness, concern, and protection for the ocean.
